Hello all you loyal MCC Foozeball fans!

As you may or may not know it's nearly september, and with september comes the start of school and (more importantly) MCC Foozeball! As Robbie mentioned we've got a lot of great ideas for the next year and we'll be letting you know about them HERE on the foozeball blog, because foozeball blogs are cool! unlike those who do not check the foozeball blog who are uncool.

So far the Foozeball league has seen some pretty big upsets and monsterous come-backs in it's time. Let's take a brief look back at the Foozeball history through the years.

2005-2006
That year saw Darrell Haines leading the scoreboard at the end of the regular season with 24 points, followed closely by the Foreman twins with 21 points for Dan and 20 points for Ben.

Going into the Playoffs, however, was a different story. In the Semi-Finals the Foreman twins were pitted against each other, with Dan emerging the victor. Darrell Haines, the hopeful young man from Burtt's Corner faced off against Randy Thurlow and was defeated in the semi-Finals. Randy defeated Dan in the finals in a very close 7th game win to take the title of the first ever MCC Foozeball Champion.

2006-2007
Having had many of the players in the previous year graduated, the 2006-2007 series saw a lot of bright new hopefuls to claim the coveted Foozeball Cup. Darrell continued to dominate the regular series ending with a whopping 41 points followed by yours truly Vincent Arsenault with 34 points and the unorthodox but effective strategic plays of Tyler MacDougall with 26 points.

Going into the playoffs Darrell Haines again appeared to be the best pick for the Foozeball Champion, but being in the same situation as last year he still had his doubts. Eventually the Finals pit the Foozeball Giant Darrell Haines against the swift fingers of Robbie Sevilla, a newcomer from the big city of Toronto. Finally after four very close games Darrell Haines claims the trophy which he so richly desired and was named the Foozeball Champion of 2006-2007

2007-2008
Last year's competition was fierce as the veterans of Foozeball geared up for yet another season of competition to claim the Foozeball Cup. Darrell Haines, for the third year in a row, managed to clinch the top of the standings at the end of the regular season with 40 points, but his position was threatened greatly by Vincent Arsenault trailing much too close behind with 39 points and Robbie Sevilla with 32 points bringing up third.

Going into the Playoffs it appeared that the winner would be one of the Commissioners, either Darrell, the Commish at the beginning of the season, Vincent, the newly appointed Commish coming to the end of the season, or Robbie, the appointed co-commish. The semi-finals saw all three of these men and a fourth, lesser known individual to the MCC Foozeball league. Jason McVicar, another newcomer to the Foozeball League was straggling along amidst these hardened Foozeball Veterans. In the end, however, McVicar emerged victorious, eliminating Darrell Haines in the semi finals and then Robbie Sevilla in the Finals, wrenching the Foozeball Trophy from Haines' hands and claiming it as his own.

2008-2009
As the season begins, who will emerge victorious? With Darrell and Jason already tasting the sweet victory of Championship they're itching to add another trophy to their collection. Will Darrell, facing his final year at MCC, be able to break the records and boast that he is the only person to lead the Foozeball Standings through every regular season he participated in? Will a newcomer rise yet again from the shadows and steal the cup from under the seasoned player's noses? The only way to find out is to watch and see how it all unfolds.

2007-2008 CHAMPION

If you haven't heard..well then maybe it's time to update a bit.

Robbie Sevilla who was in the finals in 2006-2007 championship game between Darrell Haines and lost that game to Darrell actually made it again to the 2007-2008 championship game.

So for two straight years, I made it to the finals.

This time I had to face the ever lurking eyes and skills of Jason McVicar..to make the story short.

Jason won the series and I have yet to win the coveted championship trophy...maybe this upcoming year would be my year..maybe

Anyway, tune in this coming school year to see what kind of exciting things will happen with the foozeball league.

As you may know, Darrell Haines handed the league over to Vincent Arsenault about 1/2 through the season. Thus, Vincent will be making some big decisions.

Will there be a 2008-2009 season?
WIll there be a doubles' league?
Will I ever grow past 5 feet tall?

Hope Everyone's having a good Easter break. As it winds down to a close I figured I'd give you all another update on the Foozeball Playoffs. It's been an exciting year for sure with several records being broken and upcoming hopefulls to take the title as the 2007-2008 MCC Foozeball Champion.

After some very eventful games between Robbie and I, Robbie managed to make a comeback and win the seventh game after a fast-paced overtime sixth game to tie the season. This win pits Robbie and Jason against each other. Either one has an even win to take the championship with the defending champ Darrell Haines out of the picture. Several games have already been played, but the series is still very even.

Further updates and interviews will come once we're all back at the college. Stay tuned to see how this series is playing out.

Battle of the Titans and Duel of the Commish's

Well folks, after some discussion and confrontations within the league, I have been named the new Commish and Darrell has chosen to step down from his duties and retire. I'd like to thank Darrell on behalf of all the league for the tremendous work and tireless hours which he has put into this league. You've been a good commissioner Darrell, and it shall be tough for Robbie and I to be able to fill your shoes.

A lot has happened since the last update, so here's a quick summary:
Defending Champion Darrell Haines Faces off against the newcomer Jason McVicar. Haines came out with a strong start, but after several games McVicar has taken a tremendous lead over Darrell, leading the series 3-1. Game 5 was played earlier today, and the video should be posted shortly for you all to watch.

The second set of games pits myself (Vincent Arsenault) against my assistant commish Robbie Sevilla. In this battle of the commishioners only one shall reign victorious. The series is at a close 2-1 for myself, but recently Sevilla has been making a strong come-back. It should be an interesting series, and hopefully we'll be able to finish it up shortly.

The defending champ speaks
This week Darrell Haines was able to finally put the wraps on his series with Stephanie Connelly as he won 4 consecutive games to win his trip to round 2 for the third time. Not only did Darrell gain his ticket to the next round from this series though, he also in his final win became the first person to ever get a Shutout in playoffs. When asked about his confidence concerning possible second round opponents he said,

"Well the way I see it my only possible opponents are Valerie, James and Jason. All people which I have beaten in regular season action more times than one. I will give some credit to James though because he ruined my undefeated streak last season and maybe credit can go to Jason because he seems really into the game, he might beat me if his feet remain leveled on the ground."

Game 3 Pre-Game Review
As we have seen, the standings are out the window in this series... but the question is, who will be out of playoffs? James and Robbie have both already proven great success as they have both shown the ability to win games. James beat the odds in Game 1, obtaining his first win in playoffs in his 3 seasons in the league, while Robbie in Game 2 showed why he made the finals last season.
What will the first round come down to? One could say it will be the one who perseveres. Any player in the game will tell you that frustration is a point of panic in a series. If an opponent drives his opponent there, they take control of the drivers seat. Watch in the games ahead for such frustration and see if it plays a role, against a cool headed individual... distinguish to yourself, which of these could be a future champion.

Playoff review
In every series so far it seems that standings do not lie, but this series between Robbie Sevilla and James Stevenson is a bit of a toss up. Robbie who is returning this season after his fall last season in the Finals, will hope to win his first foozeball cup this year. James on the other hand with his victory in the last game won his first ever playoff game, after being eliminated in playoffs the previous two times he has been to the big dance.
The outcome of this game could be unpredictable if you look at how the odds have been against competitors so far in this series. This could be a good series to see through, so keep watching.

The first ball has been dropped on playoff action here at Maritime Christian College and it seems that the action is already booming. It seems that playoffs are a whole new ball game. During the regular season it seems that some people dominate, but as playoffs begin it becomes a level playing ground in almost every game.

Here we are at seasons end, as Foozeball is coming to the conclusion of its 3rd season of existence. The season has saw its ups and downs especially with attention this season, although it has endured. Hopefully now as playoffs begin, the season will begin to make its turn as action picks up.

As Champions rise
Randy Thurlow, a name not to be forgotten among Foozeball history or in the books of Maritime Christian college. Unfortunately, as he would become the first ever Foozeball champion he was unable to return to defend his championship. As many know, this is because he had transferred to Lincoln Christian college.
This season for the first time, we have the return of our Foozeball champion. As last years champion Darrell Haines has returned this season... he comes with a chance to retain his championship. When asked his take on this years playoffs he said:

"The playoffs should be a good time, I really believe my chances of winning this season could be narrower than in the past. In any case, I am going into playoffs as one of the top people to ever play the game and I intend to retire as the best!. I cannot take anything away from my colleagues though, they have every chance to rise to the occasion."

If any who this might literally refer to is such as Vincent Arsenault and Robbie Sevilla who are both returners after a great playoff run last season, which Haines would bring to an end. Among these two are 3rd year student James Stevenson. Along with Rookies in the playoff appearence category: Jason McVicar, Valerie Osbourne and Stephanie Connelly. I guess we will find the outcome when the ball is dropped and playoffs begin.

49-7-0 do you recognize who this statistic is applied to. How about the 27-12-0? If you do not recognize these statistics, they are the stats of the winningest competitors to ever play Maritime Christian College Foozeball. Darrell Haines and Robbie Sevilla. The difference in record is nothing between these two individuals, especially this season as it seems that the balance of fate would be tipped to one of these individuals.
This week Darrell went into his game with Robbie Sevilla undefeated and came out of his game, recognizing the challenge before him, with the season drawing to its end. Robbie Sevilla would emerge victorious, showing that he cannot be counted out by the odds which our records prove to show favor to Darrell Haines. Sevilla would take his win and almost secure his 3rd place position. This weeks loss for Darrell means he must win his next three games or be in danger of losing his presidents trophy, for the first time in his three year history as leagues best at seasons end.
The playoffs should be awesome and may it be shown from this weeks games, that anything could happen. We could have a new Champion...

During the first year of Foozeball ever at Maritime Christian College, this is when the class truly came together and found out what it meant to have fellowship. It was during Foozeball season that the guys at the time came and really enjoyed together some competive friendly action. This same tradition has kept going for what is the 3rd season of Foozeball of all time for MCC. It is because of the fans that this league remains.

In the game for you today is Nathan Clarke vs Darrell Haines. If Nathan shall win it will be Darrell's first loss, but shall Nathan lose Darrell will defeat his former record for most wins in a row.

Foozeball Season In Review
With the New year beginning we leave behind what was in the Foozeball season. As this year begins there is only 3 weeks, than we begin the festivities of the New Year celebration which are the 2008 Foozeball Playoffs. At current state the odds on favorite are tipped towards three indivduals who have maintained close standing, although as we have seen before, these odds could shift.
Currently the odds on favorite tip towards an undefeated Darrell Haines who has maintained his position at the top of league standings for what is now the third year in a row. With only three weeks left he could fall from 1st place or could have the luxuries of top seed going into his 3rd playoff appearance.
Vincent Arsenault follows Darrell in the standings and is driven by the challenge of knocking Darrell from that top seed. Aside from this challenge for Vincent he will also wish to make up for last years upset at the hands of Robbie Sevilla who came in the underdog against Vincent, but would defeat Vinny heading to the title.
Speaking of which Robbie Sevilla looks to be closing in on the top as well, as he looks to overcome all odds again and this time win the honor of his first Foozeball Championship. He will look for this hoping to eventually have a shot at Darrell Haines who defeated him during the Finals last year.

Merry Christmas to All! As we are now in the Christmas break, all Foozeball action will cease until the second week of January. When we start back up at the beginning of 2008, the Foozeball season will be drawing to its close as we come in to land for playoffs. Hope you will join us for Playoffs as its always an exciting time of year for Maritime Christian College.

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS
As this new year begins, the league will undergo some additions to its overseeing staff. Assistant Commish Robbie Sevilla was not kidding as he recently announced on our Facebook group that as we transition into the New year, Vincent Arsenault will join on as an addition to the League Overseers. He will do a great job and we wish him all but the best in his contribution to this team.

Among Legends Of The Game

Darrell Haines only 2 victories short of beating the season record for longest winning streak.
Among Legends
Maritime Christian College Foozeball has came to the midpoint of its 3rd season in existence. This games success, mainly to be credited to those who brought birth to it in late 2005. The main ambassador of the game being its first League Champion Randy Thurlow.
Randy Thurlow in the games debute to the college, was the underdog essentially entering into playoffs. Despite this, he overcame even the greatest of competitors to be known as now he is recognized. Forever his contribution to the game will be remembered.
Alongside him, came Dan Foreman who was among the best in league standings. He is not mentioned in many records, but his style of play challenged first year students in the game to bring their level of play to a more competitive style, where we have only made greater in years following his time.
This season is one of legends. Among these soon to be known as legends, after their parting from the college, which will happen next season, would be such competitors as Darrell Haines, Robbie Sevilla and Jason McVicar. These are likely the top prospects of this season. Their names being the most estimated for a chance to make the finals, to compete for the Foozeball Championship.
Will our new Champion emerge from the greats mentioned? Or could yet another legend emerge from the abyss and shock the entire Foozeball WORLD.

Team Darrell vs Team Jason in a battle of Foozeball Titans... who will emerge the victorious MVP?

First Ever All-Star game last season
Last season we were unable to capture the all-star game, for technical difficulties, but it was amazing. So we decided we would do it again this season. Last season was Team Darrell vs Team Joel and in an all out battle Team Darrell came to victory in a 11-9 Final. This game ended in Overtime... it was intense.
Coming out with the victory in this game was a big part of the season for those who played for Team Darrell. In fact all the people on his team made playoffs during that season end. Samara Stockton emerged from this game All-Star MVP as selected by her team and Fans.

This Season
This season looks a lot different as more people have shown an interest in participating in this game. Unfortunately there is already one change as Stephanie Connelly was unable to attend, but stepping in for her was Valerie Osbourne who was the 9th seed going into the All-star break.

RECORDS
Last season there was one record broken the entire season. This year as you know there have been many rule changes and with those changes have come new records. Jason McVicar is currently 2 shutouts short of taking David Marshall's 2 year record for most shutouts. Darrell Haines is currently 4 wins back of defeating his own set record of 14 straight wins.
Each player has set for himself goals, but the question is, could these records set, point us in the direction of the best in the game as we approach our All-Star break and embark towards playoffs?

Where the All-stars Roam
Hard to believe that its already close, one of the biggest events of the MCCFBA season is almost here; The Foozeball All-star game. Last season the team Captains were Darrell Haines and Joel Bridges. This was the first Foozeball All-star game for MCC as in this game Darrell Haines' team would reign victorious led by the scoring efforts of Samara Stockton; who was named the first All-Star MVP. This year I expect will mark a more competitive atmosphere as it is more of a chance for the players of the game to show their stuff. With the game two weeks away we plan to have this game live online for you to view. If you wish to view this game, either check here or our new Facebook group entitled "Maritime Christian College Foozeball."

James and Nathan play their 6th games of the Season

Next week comes with High expectations
Next week will be a week of expectation and anticipation. It is not a rematch of Darrell vs Robbie, although it is a season game that may mark a turning point in the 1st seed for the season. Last season Darrell Haines dropped two games out of the 22 games in the Foozeball season and they were back to back losses. One of these losses were in overtime to James Stevenson, who Darrell plays in two weeks... and the other was to Vincent Arsenault, who last season downed him 9-4. When asked about this game coming up Darrell said,
"Vincent has really shown that he can compete in this league, at this level especially during his last season. I think he has what it takes to take my reign as Foozeball Champion even....although him and I this season are both guys who are dreading the new rules. I think my strategic style of play might beat him, but he might rise to the challenge yet and prove me wrong. I find he does well to match his every opponent... so if I lose, Vincent wins and I will live on to play another game, no shame at all at my defeat. But if I win... I guess we will look forward to my winning streak continuing."

Reigning Foozeball champion Darrell Haines reigns supreme this season, only struggling in one game this season. He has only allowed 4 goals in each of his last 6 games, except one where he won in Overtime. This means his record is 6-0-0 can he be beaten? This whole entire post is definetly worthy of being about Vincent Arsenault. Mr. Arsenault in his first season in the MCCFBA was one of the forerunners for the Foozeball cup, but fell short in the second round to Robbie Sevilla. It seems that Vincent has brought forward this season a hightened drive to his game, as up to this point, he is on pace to beat his own personal record and perhaps the leagues record for wins, held by Darrell Haines, who is trailing Vincent by Goals against. It could be quite a battle ahead.

As this season gets underway there are lots of changes. This season will be one to remember, for its competitive rule improvements. The Leagues new rules are based on official rulings and I believe will even out the tactical aspect of the game. Along with that, the coveted championship is on the line in new style. The championship has been re-modelled and has reshaped the league with a new competitive nature. May the Best player win.

Final Farewells Of the Season
Here we are yet again at another semesters end. Being a student here at MCC, it is easy to admit how fast the time can go by. For many, they have just began what is the college experience, which may end or continue depending on a persons walk.
Seems only yesterday that there was a post on this blog about the excitement of the registration and classes beginning in this semester.
This Foozeball season has also gone so fast. From the beginning of the season, it was almost easy to tell who would be in and who would be out during playoff time. I think it is evident that the best were certainly a part.
As we are here now at the end of this semester though, it is no longer about Foozeball or classes for the students, but it is about graduation and the semesters end. That is why as we come to this time in the semester, as a member of the student body, I would like to extend a congradulations over to the graduating students of this year. Maybe not so much students, as much as student in "Joel Bridges."
Joel has been a great friend to us all and has never shown any complaints or had disagreements with anyone during his time with us. On behalf of the student body, we wish you the best Joel in all that you wish to pursue after this year. Our league Champion Darrell Haines had this to say about Joel,

"Joel has been an excellent role model for my ministry and has shown me that humility which I have lacked for so long. If it were not for Joels influence, I believe that this semester would have been hard to bare. Thanks Joel."

THE CHAMP IS HERE

Just a little bit about our league Champion Darrell Haines. He is in his second year with the college and will be a returning student next semester. Perhaps if you have not had the oppurtunity to meet him, you will eventually have the chance. Darrell says,

"This season was very productive for me from the beginning and if it were not for humility, I would have likely pulled the wool over my eyes again and fell in the first round. I am excited for next season, but I will enjoy my summer thats for sure. More than Foozeball I will miss my friends here at the college. We still have a week for spring tour though, that should be fun and I am looking forward to it... might even take the Foozeball cup with me... lol..."

The season went well and it would'nt have went at all if not for you who play the game and watch the standings. Thank you for your support and may all the Grace and Peace of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you all of your days.

Game 1 of what has already shown to be an exciting series between Darrell Haines and Robbie Sevilla. This series entitled David vs Goliath... Commish vs Assistant Commish... and it should be a good one to watch.
Were Playoffs all that it is chalked up to be?
Many people may hold a different opinion on how the Playoffs have went so far, but those who have taken part in these games, or for the most part, those who have come to watch... have found the games surprisingly great. The individuals who made Playoffs have been very competitive with oneanother, not stopping short for the most part, although they do not allow this factor to cloud their sportsmanlike conduct. Even in Game one of this already hyped series between Robbie and Darrell in the finals, both individuals have show great respect to oneanother at the hands of victory and defeat. This is the way the playoffs should be. It should be something that does not take people apart by the competive edge, but join them together to make a very exciting event, that brings fun to the conversation of those playing and watching the game. Fellowship is not something to disregard or take for granted and true fellowship is hard to find sometimes. Somethiing we as Christians must understand is that fellowship can be found almost everywhere... in my opinion, even while playing a competitive game of Foozeball.

Determination to Win
In Game 3, Vincent Arsenault showed a truly strong effort, demonstrating why he is one of the best in the game, in his 9-3 victory over (4th) Robbie Sevilla. Seems in any case though that this is the time of the year when Top seeds struggle the most. Not sure why this is, but I think it is a lack of determination in the game and an overconfidence by someone who has won many season games. Take for example Darrell Haines who last season entered Playoffs with a 14-5 record, which was the best in the Playoffs by a longshot. He had a difficult time in Round 1 against MCC Academic Dean Tom Marshall, who introduced the game. Then fell soaring to a 4-0 sweep to Randy Thurlow who won the cup.
Darrell Haines this season finished with a 20-0-1 record at season end and is now in the finals awaiting his opponent. Darrell this season has said that he knows the best will be in the finals and will expect difficulty, despite his almost flawless record, which was bent by a regular season loss to James Stevenson. The question is, will he lose determination and fall, being lucky that he received his second round bye? Vincent Arsenault faces the same question.
As for Robbie Sevilla as the underdog, holding position similar to the former league champ. Maybe he has embraced a blessing in 4th place afterall.

Darrell Haines continues to be in waiting, but has attended all of the second round games so far and has studied Robbie Sevilla's first round, just in case he may be the man after his series with Vincent is done. Darrell Haines comments,

"I could say that there is nothing to fear, this is in the beg, but then I will likely not get any further than the finals. My intentions are not to just study my opponents, but to defeat them as well. I think the main thing is that I stay fresh mentally and prepare myself for the extreme."

Not much time left now until the finals will be in motion. Whoever makes the finals though, guarantees the matchup to be just as Darrell said, extreme.

Robbie Sevilla fought hard to keep the series against Joel Bridges. He is now in the exact position of League champion Randy Thurlow. Will the Underdog prevail in Round two, Game 1 is featured above.
A season of Curve balls
This semester has brought many curve balls, which have shaped this seasons playoffs, yet they have went on. Momentarily, Darrell Haines awaits his finals opponent, in either Vincent or Robbie. Because of certain things happening, both potential opponents of Darrell are forfeit, providing him with a bye. He would earn this bye in defeating Vincent Arsenault last week in a 9-4 game, to decide who would win the bye. Darrell will try to not get rusty, but he has plenty of preperation time before his finals showdown. When asked his thoughts he said,

"This years playoffs has had plenty more curve balls, but I still think that the playoffs have been equally as difficult to fight through. But there was no Randy to kick me out this year, so I am heading to the Finals on a series win and a Bye. I am excited, but the Finals will be a true evaluation of how far I have come."

2nd Round Suprise?
Is it any surprise that the two Top seeds in Darrell Haines and Vincent Arsenault still stand in the race. The question is, will it be the two best for the championship, or can we anticipate a Finals surprise with Robbie Sevilla. One may count it coincidence, that again, in this second season, we again see the 4th place seed fighting to win the cup. Perhaps the reason this has again occured and Robbie Sevilla has odds on favorites to put up a fight, is simply because the 4th place person, without as many wins, tends to enjoy winning more in playoffs. This should be an interesting series between Vincent and Robbie, not one to miss thats for sure. Game 1, which had the least support of all games in Playoffs so far, was clearly one of the greatest matches of this season.
The big question is though, at the end of the season, who will remain standing? and who will hold their heads high, hoping to win next year?

Big League Decisions

Decisions made, which change the Playoff Tree
During the past couple weeks, the league has been meeting with its two commishoners and have decided on two extensions to this round one series. In fact, the series was given one day elimination rule, which meant one game, one win decides all as an option for finishing the series. The extensions have not been met and after much discussion, the league has decided to alter the Playoff tree, inserting a Bye series.
Because the commishoner is the top seed and would in reality receive the Bye by default, he forefeited this right and played a game, which would earn the right to have a bye series. Vincent Arsenault and Darrell Haines, played a game on March.29th, which has potential of being our Foozeball finals this season and in this game, the winner would receive the bye. These were the top two seeds, therefore it would be fair for the winner to receive the bye. It was a very close game and the recipient of the Bye series was Darrell Haines.
Beginning Monday, April.2/2007, the Foozeball Playoffs will resume and see the meeting of Vincent Arsenault (2) vs Robbie Sevilla (4). The winner of this series will meet the awaiting, Darrell Haines in the Finals. It should be a good finally, Hope you enjoy the Second Round Games, which we will have online here beginning next week.

Samara Stockton and Nathan Clarke become dust on the floor as they are swept from the competition.
The Cinderella stories of 2007 end early with this week.
Nathan and Samara both played an excellent season, with promise in the games they had played. Nathan finished his season with a record of 9-13-0, as he fought hard in the final weeks of the season to take his playoff spot. Nathan Clarke played his heart out to make the playoffs only to meet (2 Time Presidents Trophy Winner) Darrell Haines in the first round. Darrell's remarks to Nathan's defeat were:

"Nathan Clarke grew a new form of respect from me in this series. He proved himself as a formatible opponent who fought hard to get to playoffs and he finished his run I believe showing the best of sportsmanlike qualities. The only guy I have ever beat in playoffs and saw him smile at defeat was Nathan Clarke. This brother, I see good hope for in the future."

As for Samara Stockton. Her season was great, as she was the MVP of the first ever MCC Foozeball ALL-Star Game and finished her season with a record of 10-11-1. Vincent Arsenault in some perspective is one of the top in the league in his first year and after the all-star break, Samara was one of few who slipped into a playoff spot unnoticed. She showed heart in this serie and her support to the league, along with her efforts are unnoticed, serving her well.
At that, (1) Darrell Haines and (2) Vincent Arsenault, who are the top seeds will enter the next round, awaiting their opponents.
This week should likely conclude the 1st round and then we will have a waiting period where you will have an oppurtunity to vote for the next round of matches you would like to watch online. In the meantime Joel and Robbie are yet to finish their serie and their series will be aired online as they play their final games in the next couple weeks.

Playoffs
Those who have made playoffs are in the picture, after the game between Robbie Sevilla and Darrell Haines. In the pic, the ones on the top are the first seeds and the bottom people are their individual opponents. For further information of Playoff matchups for MCC FOOZEBALL, click the link on the side, which is titled... Foozeball History.

Playoff Rules:
1. Higher seed picks sides (Ex: Yellow or Black team)
2. Lower seed drops ball during first two games of the series.
3. If the Ball hits the back of the net, it is a goal.
4. In the resort of a dead ball (ball stops moving) last to touch the ball, will drop the ball in the court.
5. Playoff series' all contain best-of-seven rule, which means first player with four wins.
6. All games are won in playoffs by at least a two goal margin. Cannot win 9-8, but can win 10-8.
7. Shake hands with the defeated, after the series is complete.

Playoff Plots Thicken with A week and a Half to Spare in the Season!

With the Foozeball Playing field, before us... what can we expect for the week ahead?

With Limited Season Left, who do you think is In and Out?
The big question is up in the air, who will be in those three remaining spots come playoff time? This is not an easy question for anyone to answer, but what things will come down to is who played the majority of their games and who will work the hardest in the final 2 or 3 games to make their mark, in order to get in playoffs.
The final three spots are currently marked so far by: Samara Stockton, James Stevenson and Nathan Clarke.
This does not in anyway hinder or mark out those who are just outside the playoffs, as the race is tight and winning both games in the final week of games next week, could be crucial to anyone in this bunch, having a hope of being in playoffs.
Just for personal interest, make your vote on the below pool on your favorites to occupy those final spots. The people listed in the Pool below are those who have not yet secured a playoff spot and will have an oppurtunity to fill one of three remaining slots in the race.

When Commishoner Darrell Haines was asked who he expects will up their game and occupy the three remaining slots, he said with full confidence three names, along with where he expected they would stand:

"Well in terms of people in playoffs and standing, I strongly expect Nathan Clarke in 6th, James Stevenson 7th and then as my first round opponent likely John Stevenson, if he so chooses to play his games for once... and if not him Samara Stockton, who I believe played me for recreation a couple times this season and has only beaten me once out of almost 20 games. I expect a great opponent no matter who I face though and I will leave my comments at that, because I have come to learn to never underestimate your opponent, especially in my last couple games of the season as rust has set in on my play and because of this I have lost some loyal Foozeball fans (Such as my brother, grrr... Nathan) But I will not allow this to distract me... Thank you!"

Very long winded answer by our Commishoner Darrell Haines. He is correct in saying though that these next couple games are big for many people and the names listed are probably among those who have shown signs of fighting the hardest for a playoffs position. Good News for Nathans Momma

Nathan talking on the Phone with his Momma, what about, not sure... perhaps one reason is because Nathan has stepped inside playoffs for the first time this season.

An Interview with Nathan Clarke
Nathan Clarke has definetly been "THE" surprise of the 2006-2007 season. This is a man who has not stepped into the playoffs once during this season, yet he stands at the conclusion of this week, just above 500. Nathan's performance as of late has brought him speeding into playoffs with a record of 6-4-0, in his last 10 games... Joel Bridges last season was able to pull off a 3-2-0 record in his last 5 games last season to sneak into playoffs and Nathan has already more than met this record. With accomplishing the feat Nathan Clarke has in the past couple weeks, he has blown the minds of Foozeball fans across the world. Joel Bridges record in the All-Time stats, for the best finishing record is definetly in Jeopardy. When Nathan is was asked how it felt, to finally have a playoff position, Nathans comments toward his success were:

"I have always been in the Playoffs, the Playoffs just have not always been part of me. I look forward to being in playoffs, it should be a good time."

Nathan has taken a surprising 6th place position, following this weeks match conclusion. This standing would be an improvement of his former 14th place position, which Foozeball critics saw him needing a miracle to make playoffs. There has definetly been a miracle at work here, with Nathan Clarke and he could be our seasons Cinderella Story....(although he may not like the idea of being compared to a Disney Princess) Shannon Nicholson may not be jealous because Nathan bumped ahead in the standings here, but the fact that he could be that princess, may make things heat up with the remainder of the season.

2 Weeks Notice In the New Year of Foozeball

Hard to believe that the 2007 Portion of the Foozeball season and Maritime Christian College semester are about to begin, boy does time fly. Today is January 9th 2007, a very special day in history and perhaps not for reasons you may think, but today marked the first meeting between the newly created Foozeball League board and at this meeting, some official decisions were made.
Darrell Haines speaking the side of the "Commish," who does the scheduling and sees the season moves as planned and the new "Commish of Player Relations," Robbie Sevilla also attended this meeting. This meeting adressed when the seasons first scheduling would take off... as well as the league history planning, which the league does have some history.
First off as far as the Leagues expectations for the players and for fan information... players will be expected to have their first two semester games done in two weeks time on January 24th of 2007.
Secondly and our final discussion point as a board of "two" was the leagues new history page, which has been actually around for a long time, but not advertised. There is a link to the History of the Maritime Christian College Foozeball History site under the link headed "MCC". We encourage you to click this link, MCC Foozeball History and learn about record broken this season and in the past.

From the Cradle to the Throne

Well Robbie is very short, but I did'nt know that he was a Big baby...

Robbie Sevilla sits on the Throne
Perhaps that was an innapropriate subtitle, Robbie is not sitting on the throne at this moment (yuck!).... In fact Robbie is not sitting on a throne, but has been elected to become the "Commisoner of Player Relations" for the Maritime Christian College Foozeball Association. Robbie Sevilla has become a fierce competitor as of late in the Foozeball ranks and is likely going to be in the playoffs this year, but if the need arises that Darrell Haines, our "Commish" cannot appoint the Foozebal cup, Robbie has been appointed to deliver the cup to the Champion whoever that will be. Robbie will now have the ability to post his words of Foozeball wisdom on this site and has been granted a link of his entitlement in the links to the right.
As this New Year begins, this season has many new changes which are going to be made, one of which will see a New Foozeball Champion being appointed by the end of this upcoming second semester.

Merry Christmas From Maritime Christian College

Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas?
This season is nearing its end, which will lead us into a time of remembrance before a new year. This has got to be the most wonderful season of the entire year and boy does it ever bring people together. There is such a soft, yet romanced feeling which comes with the celebration of Christmas.
This is the time of year that most grumps become less grumpy, people who hold grudges decided to set them aside. Then ultimately, the greatest truth of all is the celbration of Jesus Christ, being born to this earth as a Hope for God's people.
So what is it...Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays? Is it X-Mas or Christmas?
In this Holiday season, with all joking aside from the Ask a Ninja video above, let us take this time to celebrate not only the gifts we received... but the greatest birthday of all, which ultimately meant a glorious gift on our behalf.
I am aware that everyone comes to this blog for Foozeball updates, but let us today take this time and reflect on God's gift to man. The salvation given as a free gift to us, given on behalf of the Father, which is the Son. Let us take the oppurtunity in our Christmas breaks to witness through the word of God, the Holy Spirit, to those around us about the gift we have received.
As the angels said to the Shepards in the fields:

The Maritime Christian College Foozeball Players, wish you the fans a Merry Christmas! and A Happy New Year, With Christian Love in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...

Statistics Jam in Close during the final Foozeball week of 2006
As the 2006 portion of the Foozeball season closes, there are some close standings, which have led to some intense racing for the final playoff Spots. Many of our players such as John & James Stevenson, Rebecca Hankinson, Samara Stockton, Katherine Maclean, Stephanie Connelly and Nathan Clarke are in a close point race for the final "two" remaining spots in playoffs. These people have been close in their standings for a number of games, although if any deserve a playoff position, one would vouch for Nathan Clarke, who has come from an impossible position, to being one point shy of a playoff spot this week.
When Nathan was asked this week, his secret to success, he responded saying:

"My secret is that I stopped caring and let God take care of it!"

This is a very great answer by Nathan, and I believe he did... simply because he gave up and the ball seemed to have just ended up in the net, keep it up Nathan.
Many of our observing veteran Foozeball players are humble to admit that, these first years have went from an impossible standing and have shown tremendous improvement in their play in the last month. We caught up with Darrell Haines on this topic and he said,

" These first years have really surprised me over these last couple games or more. There are many of them that I am fearful of playing in the playoffs. If I was to give advice to any of them though, I would gladly say, do not get cocky, because I am proof that pride leads to playoff disappointment."

There we have it, with the season closing to an end, with six games, which will be played next semester, we will look forward to soon talking about the playoff action happening.

Has David defeated Goliath?

The David and Goliath story reinacted in Foozeball, as James Stevenson defeats Darrell Haines
The Past lerks in the Present
As mentioned in a previous post, James Stevenson began his season, in the 2005-2006 on a massive winning streak, defeating Darrell Haines. James for the information of Foozeball fans, fell to a slump in this previous season, which led to his first round defeat to Randy Thurlow (league Champion). Looking from the past to now, James had a rocky start to his season, being defeated by Darrell, early in the season in a 9-8 Loss, but meeting Darrell this week in what would be a Cinderella story/ David and Goliath reinactment... this would make Shannon Nicholson proud.
The point of this is, that James is on a winning streak once again. Will this be possible, that James had a slump in the beginning of the season and will finish strong, possibly with a championship?
If you have answered no to this, I question your authority, as this week, James became the first to beat Darrell Haines, during this 2006-2007 season. This game began with a slow start, but would eventually see Darrell suffering a loss to his undefeated season, in a 9-4 Loss.
Darrell's pre-game comments were:

"well the past lurked up on me today. Unfortunatly the winning streak is over, but the record stands at 28points, as the new record for most points in a season and winning streak. Although, I count all that I have achieved as meaningless, until I have won the championship. James is good, my arrogance is a downfall that I wish to deal with, during the days prior to playoffs."

There you have it, another David and Goliath Story, pride truly does come before the fall, and it is what led to James victory of Darrell Haines. Goodluck to James Stevenson in the days ahead, and beware to those who oppose James, he is on fire as of late. Here is Darrell and James on a mission trip in the Sahara, where James met Shannon this summer....Heylook, Vincent is in the Background...This is all obviously a lie. The truth is though, that we have a rematch of one of the better games of the season.

As we have reflected to the past, let us see what is the now. James Stevenson standing with 11points, standing three points away from elimination. Darrell Haines, his friend and close rival from last year, undefeated.... yet some,are optimistic of Darrell's upcoming match with James. When asked his thoughts Darrell said:

"I really believe that James has what it takes to beat everyone in the League. Right now he is easing his way into at least eighth, and I am frightened of what that means for my chances. I intend to take it a game at a time, unlike last year, I claimed victory in the beginning. If James falls, he will get back up, after all Shannon is looking great for playoffs. No further comments....Please!"

There you have it, Darrell Haines sees hope yet for James Stevenson. James has an outstanding alltime record. His defense is inpecable and can match almost anyones in strength. Best of luck to James as he meets Darrell in this upcoming week.

Battling for 2nd Best!

Tyler Macdougall vs Vincent Arsenault, basically what the battle is in the standings. These to combattants have been at it neck in neck in the standings for a couple of weeks now. Tyler "Aka" Mahalalel has had the upper hand for three weeks, before this week when Vincent Arsenault won the victory putting him in distance of 2nd place, and quite possibly 1st. The question to ask is, who will be where when the dust clears...these two are both 3 Points away from clinching their place in playoffs, which means that they could lose all games and still finish bottom three for a spot. This week the standings have narrowed. Vincent is happy as he fences his way to the top, but the question is, will you find your way into playoffs?
Records Officially Broken

"Darrell Haines," AKA "me" or the "commish," has finally achieved his set season goal of becoming known as an opponent in the League. This week he beats his formerly set records for most points in a season, which was 24, but is now 26 and going. Along with beating this record, Joel Bridges who had fought his way from the bottom, to a playoff spot last year, winning almost 10 straight, has had his record for most wins in a row beaten by this same person. When asked his comments on the achievements he said:

"I think it is about time that I forget all about this Crap!, being #1 in the League is meaningless if I have not gone on to win the prize. My biggest mistake last year was a lesson learned, thanks Randy!. When I thought that it was all said and done, it was last season...for me. Robbie, Vincent, Tyler....All have the same passion to win as Randy Thurlow and I will not lose to another Thurlow"

Randy Thurlow definetly left his mark on the Foozeball League at Maritime Christian College. Randy holds a record that cannot be broke, that being the first to ever hold the Maritime Christian College Foozeball Cup. The Foozeball world misses you Randy, keep on trucking. What has been said here today can be seen in many lights, the biggest being that you should never count your chickens before their hatched.... And much bigger than that is that you should not celebrate the race until it is finished!...Theres a Sermon Illustration for you...

Any not mentioned are officially eliminated from the Playoff Runnings and no longer have a chance of making the Playoffs. Also if there is a (X) by any names, then this means that this person could lose all of their games and still make playoffs.
If a contestant has at least 21 points at this time, they have no possible way of making playoffs.
Tyler MacDougall
Tyler MacDougall, otherwise known as Mahalalel is on quite the streak as of late. He has achieved a six pack, and I don't mean body, I mean in wins...when will his winning streak end? Not really sure, but I do know that he is only a mere 6 points back of first in the Maritime Christian College Foozeball league.
Also along with his winning streak and possibilities of hitting first place in the league, he may very well clinch playoffs soon, only sitting 3 points back of the point range. Macdougall has been hot as of late, in fact the reason he is mentioned as one of the best in the league is because he may quite possibly be the best!...his goals against are the best in the League with 98, that is best other than our point leader Darrell Haines who has 105 Goals against. Congradulations! Mahalalel is #1 in the League on Defense...Watch out, this guy is on a role and you could be his next opponent.

Robbie crosses some paths and goes over enemy lines to playoff territory, how long will it last?

Whats the Scoop?
Robbie Sevilla, one who was just outside playoff ranks last week, with a guarantee in a comment on the previous post of winning the foozeball cup, sees himself this week in the playoff race. When asked this week his comments on playoffs he said:

"I will do ok in Playoffs, good enough to beat you!...not really, depends on who I am playing, but I am up there now...Yessss!"

Robbie also made a sarcastic comment of going down in the first round. From one Foozeball lacky to another, I see Robbie being a threat to those he plays in playoffs, so there you have it, watch out for the Sevilla train. This is one Phillapino you don't wanna mess with, eh! Robbie.

It is that time of season, many are close to elimination and have some comebacks to make. Some are Eliminated. Nathan Clarke, one of the more passionate of the Foozeball players as we notice in the picture above, has a passion for the game and if there is a oppurtunity of dropping even one game, his season is over.
Nathan has already discussed this destiny with some and he feels that he has a chance and will make playoffs.
The question for those who are cutting it close is, what will I have to offer in playoffs? Randy Thurlow showed last season that it is a drive to win that makes a champion and that is just what I see Nathan as having if he gets on the path for the Foozeball Cup.
This is our report today, we see how Nathan has changed overtime, looks wise, so Foozeball wise I have full confidence that he could do the same. Afterall, he beat many during pre-season. Good Luck in the remainder of the season all.

You can never count out players like James Stevenson and Samara Stockton either, especially because both players which are just outside playoffs have made names for themselves in the league. I Cannot yet deem myself great at the game, until I defeat those who I have mentioned in the Playoff atmosphere, thats where the game is really played"

The Epic Battle: TEAM Bridges vs TEAM Haines

Above is the New Foozeball Logo, below is the game results!

GAME SUMMARY
Finally, the game time was set and the game played. Unfortunatly the above video is not footage from the game, I promise the finals will have live coverage, although our live coverage here was not managed as planned.
In beginning the game, Joel Bridges and Darrell Haines, the perspective TEAM Captains had a rock, paper, scissors match to see who would receive first ball. Joel was victorious and chose his Team to have first possession.
Unfortunatly for TEAM Bridges though, the lead slipped early to TEAM Haines, the game started out seeing four easy goals.
Bridges Team would not be done though as they battled back, tying the game at four all. From here it looked as if they were going to come back and take the game as a momentum shift saw Vincent Arsenault shoot on his own goal, being a contribution to a lead for Team Bridges.
When all was said and done though, this game was back and forth, down to the very last goal. In fact it was tied at eight with one goal to be scored.

Darrell Haines who started the season out with a bad start, during last season has already picked up his socks, slithering into first place early in this season. The question to be asked is will he choke again come playoff time? In the meantime his focus is on the games ahead.
When asked his teams strategy on beating Team Brides he commented saying...

"Bridges, well London Bridges fell down... besides that we are going to shoot the ball until we win the game, I am predicting a 9-5 victory...For Team Awesome/ AKA Haines."

What will happen? who knows, anyone could be our next Foozeball Champion, and anyone can win this game.

Two weeks for Three!

What does Three mean?

Well three in the case of the Students of Maritime Christian College means that because we lost a week to Thanksgiving, we will gain one extra game.
All Students in the Maritime Christian College Foozeball Association will be asked to have a total of 7 Games Completed by October 18/2006.
Anyone who does not complete three games within this short span of time will be behind on their schedule, which means a forfeit.
Make the effort to complete your games if you intend to have a shot for the Playoffs. At the current moment for all of you Going for Gals fans, your favorites to make the Playoffs are Rebecca, Shannon, and Samara.
This is the most girls in the runnings for a playoff spot in Maritime Christian College Foozeball History, and who knows, maybe one of these fine gals will lift the Foozeball Cup come March when Playoffs come around.
At that October 18 2006, have those 3 games done.

Vibes of Tension flow during Week 2

Dejavu for Some...
Tom Marshall V.S. Darrell Haines

For many of the students for this semester, those both participating in the MCCFBA and those not, this matchup may mean completely nothing!
But for those who have come and gone from Maritime Christian College, also those who are left from last years Foozeball league debut, you would remember this matchup.
This is one of very few Playoff rivalries remaining...
Tom Marshall and Darrell Haines met last semester in what would then be seen as a matchup between the best in the league (Darrell) and the lucky underdog (Tom).
Everyone knew though that, this was not the case, for Tom Marshall was one of the best players, but had intention of taking himself from the low to the high of the league, meaning the Foozeball Championship.
This would be a great series, Tom Marshall led the series easily, taking back to back wins on the yellow side of the Foozeball field, both at 9-3 wins over Darrell Haines. Despite knowledge of the disadvantage though, animosity rose between the two, Darrell would practice against those he saw better in preparation for his final games with Tom.
Sure enough, Practice paid off! Darrell Haines from there took the next two games of the series in both 9-8 victories and went on to take the final two as well, stealing four straight from Tom in both a 9-6 victory and then a 9-1 victory in the concluding game to the series.
Darrell Haines never lasted long in the second round, although what we note from the first round, between Tom Marshall and Darrell Haines is the great rivalry the two developed, wanting to prove always who was the better of the Foozeball players.
Darrell at one time learned from Tom, but would Tom in this season learn from Darrell?
This was clearly the match of the week, Darrell Haines distracted easily went down five goals early. Tom gave him quite the run, it was intense, Darrell's goal, his dream at a undefeated season may have ended early, but would it?
Well Darrell Haines once again overcame odds, he battled back hard, changing his own strategie, developing a more defensive strategy, which would be the difference as he battled back for a 9-5 victory over Tom.

Two Weeks Notice...

Hey Looky here, it turns out that Two Weeks Notice is not only a movie, but also a saying. That is why today I will give "two weeks notice," that after Wednesday, when the latest games are due, we will be giving two weeks for two games, because of the Thanksgiving break, which will limit time for games.
On Wednesday we will tally up the games, to submit to you the standings after 4 games and then we will not update on these standings again until October 18th/2006. Again this is because of the Thanksgiving weekend and the League is arranging things for the convenience of its participants.
Please keep posted on the Latest stats, and we will keep you posted on What is going on in the league.
Come back Thursday to find out who is first after four games. This is your "two weeks notice," hope this is convenient to all.

Let the Games Begin!

So the first ball was dropped in the beginning of the 2006-2007 Foozeball Season at Maritime Christian College. How fun it was, a great game between the two best in the College in manys eyes.
A Clash of the Titans, between James Stevenson and Darrell Haines.
This was a matchup that saw Darrell fall to Stevenson 5 straight in pre-season before winning 1 by what seemed a fluke.
Or Was it? ....I still think it may have been.
Besides the point the season is underway, and despite the Cheerleader in James Corner, the victory was posted to Darrell, but not without a fight.
The underdog won, although the final score was 9-8, which means that Darrell will take 2 points while James will not leave with nothing taking 1 point for the 9-8 Loss.
These boys are not done for the season, as they will play each other at the near end of the season, where points may matter.
The increase in players in the season, could see a interesting turn out as to who will go to playoffs to compete for the Maritime Christian College Foozeball Cup.

Unfortuantly the wait may be longer...

Why Wait?

It is unfortunate that a Foozie was hurt yesterday during pre-season game play. In memory of this Foozie and the commencement of his fixing, we must wait, the season may begin any day now.
The season may still have hope for starting on time, but if not I apologize to those waiting in awe and anticipation. We will try to keep you updated on the statistics, and updated on the season.
If all goes well In the Plans of today, then we will begin the season at the scheduled time tomarrow afternoon!

There are two objectives by this post today.
The first objective to inform each and every person world wide that in exactly:

5 Days, 22 Hours, 00 Minutes, 50 Seconds, and 970 Milleseconds

It will be the first foozeball dropped(that counts) to begin the first game of the Maritime Christian College Foozeball Association season for 2006-2007. Which might add was exciting and the tension already built up for, but is now added to with the next categorie of news.

The Students have Spoken!!! and the Student Council has been elected.

President: Joel Bridges

Vice-President: James Stevenson

and newly added, or rather split to make things easier positions:

Treasurer: Rebecca Hankinson

Secretary: Shannon Nicholson

This makes things all more exciting, because soon we may be doing stuff. I guess we could have played Foozeball all day and night, then been fine with that, but the Foozeball table may not like that idea too much.

Student Council Election Time again!

Hey Gang,
It is that time of year again and this site is Maritime Christian Colleges unofficial, yet somewhat official blog. It is a blog to serve the students and the students only, so I declare it official.
Below are the positions for election and the polls for you to vote on. I ask that in voting, that only Maritime Christian College students vote on these polls.
This is not an official poll and will not really be counted, but it is for a second opinion.
The official voting will be declared by whoever you vote for using the ballads, that you will find placed in your mail box. As a former Maritime Christian College Student council representitive, a downfall of the past was sharing votes, and I ask that as a change this year that you keep all votes private.
Pray about your decision, because the people you choose will be using the money the students are given for you, in a way that they feel will meet your needs, in attempt to make a fun filled semester and year for you.

The titles are President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer.

The President would be responsible for the overall running of the Association - calling meetings, organizing events (or delegating jobs for organizing events) and meeting with Kevin to keep him posted on events and progress. The President is also the person who the students should go to if they have any questions or concerns. He/She would then go to Kevin, Fred, the Board if the need ever arose. ( I have added this, keep in mind the President and the vice-presedent should be able to conduct themselves in a expressive manner)

The Vice-President would fill in if the President could not attend an event or organize an event. They would also be actively involved in helping the President plan events, meetings, etc. on a regular basis. (This is added, the vice-president in most senses factually does more than the President, the vice-president books everything, and orders all materials)

The Secretary/Treasurer is in charge of any written reports (students can submit a Board Report before each Board Meeting.) This person would also do the finances, have signing authority on the account at the bank, deposit money, write cheques, etc. (This person should see Penny and she'll give you the bank book, and a letter to go to the bank re signing authority.)( Added: the secretary/treasurer also keeps minutes in the meetings and in student assembly meetings helps the President go over things he may have forgotten to mention)

Either way the first thing for the student council's agenda will be organizing stuff for Exalt 2006, this is intense preparation, there is mostly organizing of the canteen and price negotiations for items and these items come from the councils pocket.

If any questions see Darrell Haines and he can inform you on anything that you may have to ask, or even Fred Osbourne or Kevin McKay.

Note: The President cannot be a first year student.
(Added: the vice- president Can be a 1st year but recommended to be a senior student because of all of the organizing required, you need to know where places are.)

The Semester opens on Tuesday for registration and school is back Underway at Maritime Christian College as of that Wednesday. But the real hype is not school, noway, just kidding there is excitement building to school.

Going into the playoffs at one of the underdog standings at season end, Randy "Surprised us ALl" Thurlow ended up going into his first two series of the playoffs, first sweeping 4-0 5th place James Stevenson and then picking off Leagues best, Darrell Haines in a similar 4-0 series win to get himself into the finals. The Playoffs went great and they brought a lot of tension to the college. The Finals were Dan Foreman vs Randy Thurlow and the winner would achieve the highest honors at the college, the foozeball cup. It was an epic battle seeing Dan go up 3-1 early in the playoffs, but Randy Thurlow never once gave up and thats why he battled back taking it to a game seven in the finals and winning the Holy Grail of Foozeball.
Today Randy Thurlow is a newly wed and the happiest man in the world after achieving victory, but unfortunatly this is his last season in the Maritime Christian College Foozeball league, because now he moves with his new wife Sara Thurlow to the minor leagues at Lincoln Christian College.
